aquatherm presents its products at the German Energy Center & College in Shanghai

TN8/25.09.17 The German Energy Center & College (GECC), which is supported by the German government, promotes the implementation of German building technologies in China. The company is specialized in the areas of energy efficient construction, renewable energies as well as environmental technology and sustainability across the board.

Our Chinese partner aquatherm Pipe System (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has signed a 5 year contract for a showroom at GECCs Technology Competence Center in Shanghai. The center was constructed as low energy sample house, providing German companies the opportunity to present their innovative products, components and systems to decision-makers and users: real estate developers, designers, and sub-contractors.

On July 28, GECC held an opening ceremony for the new aquatherm showroom. Many customers from aquatherm China followed the invitation. Christian Sommer, CEO and President of the German Centre for Industry and Trade Shanghai Co., Ltd. attended as well.

The aquatherm showroom is strategically positioned at the entrance of the center. It higlights aquatherm green pipe, aquatherm blue pipe, aquatherm black system and aquatherm orange systems for application in potable water, HVAC, chilled water, and panel heating and cooling systems.

George Teng, general manager of aquatherm Pipe  System (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., emphasized in his opening speech that aquatherm as global leader for PP-R piping systems with more than 40 years of experience always seeks opportunities to reduce the human impact on the environment. For example, aquatherm’s polypropylene piping systems contribute to LEED v4 points, a worldwide used green building certification program. aquatherm‘s black system, an ecological and cost-efficient panel heating and cooling system, has become an important part of sustainable design in global architecture.

GECC offers numerous seminars as well as basic and advanced trainings for professionals. Engineers for building and supply engineering, construction physicists and architects, current and future construction managers can experience the function of products and systems corresponding to the highest quality and safety standards. By doing so they acquire crucial qualifications to cope with the challenges of the climate change.
